DIVING MOZAMBIQUE

DIVING - MOZAMBIQUE

mozDiving in Mozambique

Dive tourism in Mozambique is still relatively new, with the first permanent dive operations in the country having been established in the late 1990s. Mozambique has the second longest coastline in Africa and the diving in Mozambique can be divided into three distinct zones; the extreme north, from Pemba to the Tanzanian border, including the Querimbas Archipelago, the extreme south of the country near the border with South Africa, including Ponta d’Ouro and Ponta Malangane, and the Province of Inhambane, from Quessico north to Inhassoro. The diving in the very north, known primarily for stunning corals and excellent macro life, and the diving in the south, great reefs and good sharks, both offer very good diving. However, it is the reef system found just off-shore in Inhambane Province that offers the most spectacular diving opportunities in Mozambique. In addition to our two main dive destinations in Inhambane, In Depth Dive Travel is also able to offer dive packages which include the destinations Barra Beach, Morrungulo, Pomene and Vilankulo – please contact us if you would like to know more about these destinations.
